Dear blog followers,
I am so excited to announce that I have been choosen to be a Design Team member for http://sketchesforyou.ning.com/ How awesome is that! Although I have been a design team member for our local scrapbook stores I have never be asked to be a designer for an online community. So come on and join us.......we guarantee tons of fun!!!
Here is a little something I made the other day.....A Birthday Card
Being that all my scrapstuff is still in storage since we moved to Los Angeles, I have not been able to access my beautiful beautiful stamps.....and I miss them. I had this idea for this card and needed supplies, so off to my LSS to pick my a new stamp , and of course some ink.
Once I came home with my goodies I started stamping away. I did find that the ink was a little darker than anticipated so I double kissed my paper to get a lighter shade to the stamp image and glittered it up....LOL, I was having so much fun.
A new little technique I wanted to share with you is how I made the candles for my cake. I needed to roll my paper very thin and the only thing I could find was the inside of my pen, the skinny ink pen was perfect. I rolled up my paper super thin, and added hot glue to the edges to hold it in place. I also added ric rac ribbon to make it look like a flame. How super cute is this idea......I hoped to inspire everyone with this.
On the Sketches webside I have also listed this card in a challenge....come on over and check it out. The winner of the challenge will win a special rak from me.......Hope To See You There ♥ Michelle

The Vintage Hanger
The moment I layed my eyes on this vintage hanger, I knew it was coming home with me. I knew it need to have something special hanging from it......a beautiful wedding dress ♥
The dress was made using my Cricut Expression, and Tie The Knot cartridge .
I looked for the the perfect papers, and I found them but used 2 different companies. They were Webster Pages, thier Your Life line, and We Are Memory Keepers, their Vintage Blue line.
I used many accents......the flowers were by Prima Flowers, the vintage brads are Making Memories, and the hanger is from an unknown vendor.

I Love A Challenge......
......Especially when its for a Design Team Submission. The best part is that you need to have a Cricut Expression or Imagine, and use the colors pink, green and brown. Learn about all the details and check out Robyn's blog here --------> http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ For this submission I decided to use my Gypsy. The Gypsy is a hand help portable device that can store all my Cricut cartridges. It has many features, and I wanted to show you guys my favorite feature.
The feature I used was welding. I love that I can weld the letters together. This feature works great with a cursive font cartridge. Since the challenge was to make something especially for the Design team tryout I thought why not use the blogs name...... The Pink Stamper. I was able to weld the letters to touch each other so that the cricut machine can make one continuous cut, instead of cutting each letter by itself. It is also easier to work with welded letters when gluing them to any project....cards, scrapbooks, and anything you want personalized.
I made a card with a heart cut out using The Sweet Heart cartridge, real twigs, pink paper flowers by Prisma, pearl needles, hot pink Bo Bunny paper, pale pink & brown Bazzill cardstock on my project. Wish me luck......I always wanted to be a designer.
