A Valentine Candy Dispenser

I do not know how many different ways I have made a candy dispenser like this. It is so easy and its always a hit when given as a gift.

To make the dispenser you will need a small ceramic pot with the drip bottom and a little fish bowl. These items all can be found at your local craft store. I painted the pot first and let it dry. This is the first time I used vinyl on it and I loved how it came out.You can use a hot glue gun to attach bowl to the pot, and the knob the to lid as well.

I used the Sophisticated cartridge for the phrase love @ 2 1/2" and the border cut @ 2"
I hope I inspired you to make your own candy dispenser,  and cant wait to see your take on it.

Have a scrappy day!

Party Like A Rock Star

You know when you you in a hurry to take pictures of a project you just completed but do not have time. Well here is the banner I wished I had taken a better picture of.

This Birthday banner was for a 50th and Rock N Roll themed, so I thought I would add guitars to give it that ROCK ON look. I really liked how it turned out.

Have a great day everyone,

Sweet Cakes......for Valentine

I LOVE VALENTINE"S DAY! I can never get enough of all the hearts in shades of pinks, red, white you name it. I have always been a fan.

I used several Cricut cartridges for this Valentine trio. I used Birthday Bash and cut the banner at 3 1/2", the letters are from Rock Princess I cut at 2 1/2" and the hearts are from the Plantin cartridge cut at 3/4". For this project I used the Sweet Cakes line from Doddlebug Designs.....I love it!

I cut the cupcake holder from Sweet Tooth Boxes at 5 3/4" and the heart cupcake holder cut at 2" from Wrap It Up cartridge.

You can sign up for the class at  http://www.hearts-n-craftsetc.com/ it will be on January 18th from 6-9pm $15.00. We also sell the kits, and can ship it to you for an additional $3.00

Baby It's Cold Outside.....NOT!

Starting the New Year here in Los Angeles with a high of 80 degrees. You would think I would be happy, but I am one of those crazy people who loves to experience all the seasons.

Above pictured I am showing my favorite Christmas card I made this season using the Paper Trimmings cartridge along with my one of my go to cartridge Plantin for the scalloped edges.

The card is 6x6 and the snowman frame is cut at 5 1/2". So here is hoping to cooler weather this winter season, and lets leave the 80's for late Spring, heading into summer.

My hope for all my family, friends, and blog readers is a great year filled with many blessing.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.................. ♥ Michelle

An Awesome Opportunity........

Really? I cannot believe what had just recently happened to me in these last 3 weeks. Things like do not ever happen to me and I am still in awe of the whole ordeal.

We just wrapped up filming a room make over completed by me for my adorable Niece/Godchild Alexis. For 3 weeks I worked really hard and put so much love in it. I touched every corner of her room and loved every minute of it. It will be a 30 minute infomercial promoting the product I used for the makeover.  I could only wish I could be able to share all the details on who, what, where, and how but I have to hold back all the details for at least 1 month due to an confidentiality agreement I had signed......the waiting is going to kill me.

I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity through my crafting to do this. The moment I am given the go ahead to share I will have all the details, and hopefully a link to the commercial.

Stay tuned..............♥ Michelle

I Love Weddings

I had the pleasure of working on a couple of weddings this year, and I loved everything about it. I think the favorite part is when you make the brides vision come true.

Pictured here is Sandra and Josh Felegry. I loved her vision for a Hawaiian themed wedding. They have been to the Islands many many times. She wanted to name each table after every Hawaiian town they have visited with a picture.

I made scrapbook pages using my Cricut Expression along with my Gyspy for the lettering. I really like the Prima Flowers that I found that added that special touch. All the pages were sitting on wooden easels, and the Bride loved them all.......and thats all that matters to me.

I cant wait to I am able to book another wedding.

Painters Tray Class

I was so excited that our scrapbook store brought in this 7 gypsies wall frame. I had so much fun working in each 2 1/2"x3 1/2" square. I used the new Basic Grey little black dress line
and cant wait to give to hubby at Christmas.

Creating is my Therapy

Where have I been? Well working full time, teaching scrapbooking and class courses on the Cricut Expression has kept me super busy with little time for blogging. I just had enough time to post my pictures on Facebook, but I really did miss my blog. It was not the same...........so hopefully I can and will continue to inspire everyone with my creations.

BUT despite being busy, I always found time to create. I cant wait to show my family this album I made for them. It is filled with fun photos that took about 10 minutes to take......seriously, hubby and the boys have busy schedules :)

Currently I find myself working part time again..............and this got me into thinking. Why am I wasting so much time working in the corporate world when all I want to do is create and make this world a beautiful place I scrap at a time? I am currently looking to see actually where I fit in in the scrapbook industry......hmmm? I love to scrapbook layouts, make cards, use my inks to stamp and distress, alter items (such as scrapbook frames) and of course my favorite.....making mini albums.

Also this very album will be featured in the commercial I am filming.

I think starting on my blog again would be a good start! Why? Because..........Creating Is My Therapy ♥

A Little Valentine Love........

Today's post will be for a guest designing spot for my friend Angelas's blog ---->  http://angiespaperpassion.blogspot.com/ . I meet Angela in Atlanta, GA where we were both attending the Provo Craft demonstration classes for Cricut. I had so much fun meeting alot of new people who had the same thing in common......Scrapbooking.

The picture here is of my oldest son Michael and his girlfriend Paige. She is so sweet and adorable, and I am happy to say she has captured Michael's heart.......Young Love ♥

Michael always puts great thought when looking for that something special to give to his sweetheart. This time I offered to send him something I wanted to do for them with a picture that I think is so cute of them.

I used a shadowbox that I picked up at my local craft store I found this awseome twig with flowers and a bird that I was able to bend so that it curved around the photo. None of my projects are ever compplete without adding ribbon, and a little bling to it.

I hope I was able to make thier Valentine day a little special today.

Thanks for stopping by........Michelle

Valentine Blog Challenge

We Designers over @ http://sketchesforyou.ning.com/ are hosting a Valentines blog challenge. For my challenge I had a dress form that I purchased at my local craft store. I wanted to use a heart in my design on a altered project. If you look closely you will notice that the bodice of my dress is a heart.

My challenge for you is to make a project/altered item and use a heart in the design of it. Post your picture on the Sketches website, and the winner will get a blinging rak from me.

The cardstock used was Bazzil, Bo Bunny, and the patterned paper is by Webster pages. The flowers are by Refections carried by my local craft store. I can wait to see what you come up with. ♥ Michelle

An Awesome Week For Me........

Dear blog followers,

I am so excited to announce that I have been choosen to be a Design Team member for http://sketchesforyou.ning.com/ How awesome is that! Although I have been a design team member for our local scrapbook stores I have never be asked to be a designer for an online community. So come on and join us.......we guarantee tons of fun!!!

Here is a little something I made the other day.....A Birthday Card

Being that all my scrapstuff is still in storage since we moved to Los Angeles, I have not been able to access my beautiful beautiful stamps.....and I miss them. I had this idea for this card and needed supplies, so off to my LSS to pick my a new stamp , and of course some ink.

Once I came home with my goodies I started stamping away. I did find that the ink was a little darker than anticipated so I double kissed my paper to get a lighter shade to the stamp image and glittered it up....LOL, I was having so much fun.

A new little technique I wanted to share with you is how I made the candles for my cake. I needed to roll my paper very thin and the only thing I could find was the inside of my pen, the skinny ink pen was perfect. I rolled up my paper super thin, and added hot glue to the edges to hold it in place. I also added ric rac ribbon to make it look like a flame. How super cute is this idea......I hoped to inspire everyone with this.

On the Sketches webside I have also listed this card in a challenge....come on over and check it out. The winner of the challenge will win a special rak from me.......Hope To See You There ♥ Michelle
