Sweet Valentine.......Keeping It Simple

Happy Valentine Day everyone........hope your day is full of sweetness. Today's blog spot is about keeping it simple. This year I found these cute little tubes to fill them with candies, and I had to make 60 of them, but I had 2 little helpers.....Alexis, and Diego.

Here is Diego's goodies -

I found these adorable mailboxes for the teachers, and the tubes were for their fellow students. We used this adorable paper from Bazzill called Love Story. I used Tags, Bags, and More cartridge for the tag and cut @ 2". For the star tag I used a banner cut at 2 1/2" from the Birthday Bash cartridge and the star is from the Plantin cartridge and was cut at 1 1/2".

Alexis Valentine's goodies -

I also used the same cartridges but used a scalloped banner, and a heart instead for that extra girlie touch. The paper is from We Are Memory Keepers.

The project was very simple, but the kids loved every minute of it.......I hope everyone has an awesome Valentines Day.

Monnie is a Lucky Girl

My adorable Niece/Godchild Monnie is such a lucky little girl. She can lighten up any room as soon as she walks in. She loves to dance, sing, and talk........ALOT! But as long as she has your attention she will continue entertaining you. I say she is lucky because she is loved by many people, and I am lucky to have her in my life.

As promised in the previous post, I am working on layouts. They have taken a backseat because I have been teaching classes, and I am usually working on something other than my stuff. But I really missed it.

For this layout I used the Hip Hip Hooray collection from Pebbles Inc. I love it, and the colors worked great with Monnie's picture. I love how the little flag elements came out on my layout. To make my own epoxy 3D elements I cut many squares at 1/2" and 5/8" and used 3D foam square, added stickles and then put epoxy glue on top to make them pop on the edge of my page and the flag. Then I sliced a thin strip of chipboard and wrapped orange ribbon around it to make the pole.

I finished the layout by tying ribbon to the pole, adding yellow Thickers for the word girl, and quotes from the Authentic line that had the perfect words to my page. Thanks for stopping by.......Michelle

Going back to my 1st Love........Layouts, that is.

It has been a while that I have made any layouts. Being a Mom of 4 boys you can only do so much with the colors that are acceptable to them, and oh no! lets not talk about all the cute flowers and bling I used to add and promised my boys......ONE day you will appreciate the memories I will leave behind.....LOL

I just really miss it, and just fresh from coming back after attending CHA in Anaheim, it has left me all so inspired to make some layouts. So I gathered a bunch of girlie photos to get me started, and then I should be ready to continue with my boys layouts again......I cannot wait to show you guys within the next few days what I come up with, STAY TUNED............

How About Some Valentine LOVE

Hello blog......today I want to feature one of my favorite cartridges Tags, Bags, & More. I have been trying to buy, and even trade other cartridges to get this one for a very long time. But I could not see myself spending the outrageous amount of $150.00 on up for it just because it was retired.

To my surprise when I last updated my Gypsy, Tags Bags & More had been added to my linked cartridges......soooo happy.

A whole lot of love went into making this little box....no pun intended. It was cut at 6" and the flower at 2 1/2" You can fill it with some sweet chocolate Kisses, perfect for your sweetheart on Valentines day.

I hope your Valentine is filled with many hugs & kisses.
