The Tags, Bags, and More cartridge.........

Hello blog, I am featuring the Tags, Bags, and More cartridge. I cut the bag image at 6"using the Authentique Paper line, and the layered on top of chipboard cut at the same size. I used the multi function key on my Cricut Expression to cut the chipboard 4 times.

I distressed, added stickles and ribbon for that finish touch.

Have a great day!

Cricut at CHA

I had an awesome time for the 2nd day in a row at the Cricut booth at CHA. Pictured here with me is Brandon, he creates some of the cartridges for Cricut. He designed the new Giant flowers cartridge, and designed this Make N Take. I loved this peony, and when I asked him to sign my board he became very modest and shy......LOL, this was funny and his co-worker Becky was all giggles about it. I hope he see's my post and has a great laugh about it.

Now lets talk about the project. It was a wainscoting panel we were working on. We used the Giant Flowers cartridge and cut the peony at 4 1/2" to make this huge 8" flower.....how awesome is that? before putting the peony together, I used the glue gun and adhered the ends of the petals together. I then used a small spray bottle with water to wet the patels and curl the edges to give it that 3 dimensional look.  I put all the flowers petals together around the base, again using the glue gun. I added the leaves and ribbon on the panel and then continued to glue peony to the board.

I can't wait to hang this in my future scrapbook room......and I am also looking forward to see what Brandon's next cartridge will be.

My Cricut Mini TV Infomercial

I finally can share the 30 minute infomercial I filmed with Cricut. It was such an awesome experience and I feel blessed having to filmed it with my God Child/Niece Alexis doing her room makeover using the Cricut Mini. You can find me on the 22nd minute mark.

I had invited several of my friends when they were looking for extras and they all came out on it, naming Suzy West, Diana McGraw, Katrina Carvajal, Laura Moreno, Christine Miller, and Jennifer Lundy. It was also so exciting to see Teresa Collins in it, I love her Cricut Cartridges and her designs.

I will soon post close ups of the pictures soon so that you can get a better view of everything. Not everything made it in the commercial. I just want to take better pictures.

Birthday Bash Fun..........

Someone is always having a birthday, and I always love to give them something I created. For this project I wanted to turn a plain white handle bag and add a little fun too it.

On the bag I used the Plantin cartridge for the scalloped edge and used the fit to length key and cut it at 8", and for the birdie banner I used Birthday Bash pg 39 and cut it at 4". I cut the patterned paper at 5"x8" with a 1"x8" black border and finished it off by adding stickles, and ribbon to finish off the bag.

For the birthday card I also used the Birthday Bash cartridge and on page 30 I cut the birthday dog at 3 1/2" I took a piece of cardstock 4 1/4"x5 1/2" and folded it in half for card base and cut the patterned paper 4"x5 1/4" for the outside of the card. I added the sentiment and ribbon for a finishing touch.

A Valentine Candy Dispenser

I do not know how many different ways I have made a candy dispenser like this. It is so easy and its always a hit when given as a gift.

To make the dispenser you will need a small ceramic pot with the drip bottom and a little fish bowl. These items all can be found at your local craft store. I painted the pot first and let it dry. This is the first time I used vinyl on it and I loved how it came out.You can use a hot glue gun to attach bowl to the pot, and the knob the to lid as well.

I used the Sophisticated cartridge for the phrase love @ 2 1/2" and the border cut @ 2"
I hope I inspired you to make your own candy dispenser,  and cant wait to see your take on it.

Have a scrappy day!

Party Like A Rock Star

You know when you you in a hurry to take pictures of a project you just completed but do not have time. Well here is the banner I wished I had taken a better picture of.

This Birthday banner was for a 50th and Rock N Roll themed, so I thought I would add guitars to give it that ROCK ON look. I really liked how it turned out.

Have a great day everyone,

Baby It's Cold Outside.....NOT!

Starting the New Year here in Los Angeles with a high of 80 degrees. You would think I would be happy, but I am one of those crazy people who loves to experience all the seasons.

Above pictured I am showing my favorite Christmas card I made this season using the Paper Trimmings cartridge along with my one of my go to cartridge Plantin for the scalloped edges.

The card is 6x6 and the snowman frame is cut at 5 1/2". So here is hoping to cooler weather this winter season, and lets leave the 80's for late Spring, heading into summer.

My hope for all my family, friends, and blog readers is a great year filled with many blessing.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.................. ♥ Michelle
