Dream A Little Dream

Hi fellow bloggers,

I have a little dream, and is to be part of a wonderful tea. Today as I was trying to finish up this banner for Jinger's Design Team call, I got to wondering.....What would Jinger like, what is she looking for, what are her favorite colors......I really had alot of question, and no answers. This is because her scrapbook line has yet to be introduced. I really want to impress her because I am such a huge fan. I was also excited to see that Teresa the Scarpbooking Queen will be heading the new team. I am soooooo excited.

But as I was speaking to my Friend Teresa she said, Michelle do what you do and just be you. I took a step back and realized that yes she is right! I felt so much better, and relieved about finishing my project with no pressure at all.......So here it is, and I would love to share how I put it all together, and there is a little surprise for my blog followers, so continue reading below.

I really loved this banner I found in the Cricut Princess Party cartridge, instead of holes to add your ribbon, it made these thin slits at each end, and the ribbon went right through so smooth and straight. I cut the banner at 5 1/2". The letters where from Alphalicious and were cut at 4" including the shadow.

Something new I tried for the first time where Wobbles.....all the new craze, and I wanted to try it out. I really liked how it made the star on banner pop out, and the fun part it really wobbled.....LOL. It was really hard to get good shoot because it was so windy outside and then it started to rain......oh no!

I decided to distress the edges of my banner using my  blending tool by Inkessentials, and my Mixed Media Ink from Donna Salazar. This color is amazing and one of my favorites. It is called Peridot. I just added ink to my healing mat, and started blending in a circular motion. The more I blended the darker the shade I got, how awesome is that!

and here is how it looks after going over it once. I did 3x's to achieve the final look that I desired.

Now lets talk about the paper. This is the Indigo Bleu line from Pink Paislee.  With it I used the Chat Cloud die cuts that are part of this line, and they are so cute and full of glitter just the way I like it!

........Finally about the surprise I was writing about, I am giving this banner to one of my blog followers. All you have to do is, be a follower, and comment on this post.....easy peasy! For an extra chance to win, have a friend follow my blog and tell them you sent them. I cant wait to see who's home my banner will going to. Winner will be announced Friday Night April 6, 2012.

A little bit of Paradise......with my Hubby ♥

Hello to you.........I am sharing today a very simple beginning scrapbook class I am teaching tomorrow. I had mentioned in a previous post how I love the feel of Little Yellow Bicycle because it feels like linen. Here I am using the Paradise collection for my double page layout.

This layout can be made in about 20 minutes with a few easy instructions.

I cut the scalloped circle in half and put aside. The pink and beige floral print was also cut in half (6x12) and I used a corner rounder punch to round the edges. I then layed down the 2 polka sheets side by side. I used both pink papers underneath the scalloped circle (do not glue scalloped circle yet) so that it can show and adhered to polka dot page. I layered the beige floral paper on top of pink paper long way, and then adhered the paper on top.......Easy peasy!

I developed a quantity of 4 photos......6x4 and layered them long ways across double page lay out. I used the whole pack of the 3 dimensional stickers and added the twin in center with the banners.

I hope everyone is having a great week, I am......That is because I am busy creating, creating, creating.....Stay Tuned!

A Little Sunshine Happiness

Hello my blogger buddies,

This is my friend Monica's daughter. I feel blessed to have family and friends who share their photos with me so that I am able to create with them. As a thank you if their photo is used the layout automatically is gifted to them. Today I worked with Bella Blvd Sunshine Happiness collection. I am loving all the colors of this paper line.
For the letters and banners I used the Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge, and for the scalloped circle I used the Storybook cartridge. I also used May Arts ric rac  ribbon for the banner, and the scallop border punch is from the Martha Stewart collection.
 Thanks for stopping by....... ♥

Loving This Awesome Paper

Hi Bloggers,

I am so excited to show my latest project. I used Chipboard blocks and Alexis name to make her this cute little piece to go on top of her new cabinet in her room. I used the new line called Paradise from Little Yellow Bicycle manufacture. For those of you that have never bought this paper I suggest you go to your local craft store to purchase it. It actually feels like linen......I love the texture  and feel of it.

I used my Cricut machine to cut the all the pieces I needed for it. For the alphabets I used Lyrical Letters, and for the frame I used Elegant Edges. I finished it off by adding twine, and Stickles. And of course I cannot leave out my Zutter tool. It is the best thing to make all my chipboard edges perfectly rounded.

Thanks for stopping bye.......... ♥

I Am Finally Posting Pictures.......YAY!

As per my previous post on my blog, I had filmed a segment for the Cricut commercial back in December. I still cannot believe I did this........and all because I shared with Provocraft a email of why I love to use my Cricut machine. They wanted me to keep it simple and sweet, and that I did!  I still remember how happy and ecstatic Alexis was when she saw her room for the first time.

Here is the left side of the room, I really loved working with fabric and used it for making the banner and adding the cute little mushroom and flowers to the pillows.
On the right side of the room I do have to thank my sister in law Caroline Gutierrez for painting the tree and branches. I used fabric to make the leaves, birds, and owl as well. I loved how I was able to make little critters for the cubby drawers.
Alexis loved her name in the shadow box.
I fiound this cute little red lantern at Ikea, and just added a little touch to it.
 Deer shadowbox
This jewelry box used to be baby pink, until I got a hold of it.
 Cute owl family shadowbox
I was so nervous the day of the shoot that I made this during all the commotion and managed to finish it in time to add the the room. I seem to work well under pressure......scrap therapy ♥
I love the simplicity of the DREAM BIG shadowbox.

Also featured in the commercial was this mini book I created last October 2011 for a class I taught.  It was shown in the beginning of the commercial.

.....I am glad I am able to share my experience with you all here on my blog, and here is the link to the commercial ***Click here*** (my segment is 22 minutes in). Off to my next adventure, thanks for looking.

I Love Working With Chipboard

I love working with chipboard. Pictured today is a chipboard hanging frame I made for my Niece Mandy of her adorable daughter Monnie. I love the cropadile because it makes it real easy to put holes threw thick chipboard as I did here and added some ribbon so that my niece will be able to hang it. I loved the little epoxy scallop circle I made using the Epiphany scalloped circle for the center of my blue flower.

I also used My little Shoebox paper, and their 3D Roll-Up Flower cutouts. I distressed the edges and of course finished it off with Stickles and a pink ribbon.

I really do feel blessed that even though I am a Mom of 4 boys, I do have tons of nieces I that I can use for all my girlie pleasures like flowers and tons of glitter, and rhinestones. But then again if you see my previous posts that have never stopped me from using flowers of my boys layouts or mini albums that I love making.

Thanks for stopping by.........Love U All ♥

If You Dont Make It......Then Dont Be Afraid To Try Again!

Hi blog.....it has gotten really crazy around here. These past 2 weeks, I have made 2 mini albums, 3 layouts for classes (1 will be taught at Scrapbook Expo) and Candyland themed banners. Currently I am working on my nephew AJ's birthday party this week. I cant wait to show the family what I did.

I just recently applied for a design team and did not make the team. I know with hard a lot of work and not giving up, someday I will succeed.  but for now I will continue to post my creations here on my blog to share with you all.

Pictured here is my next class I will be teaching at Hearts N Craft in Covina, CA. Stop by and and say hi, or even to see all the fabulous stuff new scrapbooking stuff we get in weekly.

This is the mini album cover......I love everything about it. The album is a 6x4 by Maya Road, the paper and trinkets are from Prima Flowers. I used Stickles around the flowers, and Thicker yellow glittered alphas. I also used WOW embossing clear powder for the heart, distressed the edges and topped it off with serveral ribbons.
Here is the side view.

Can you please smile for the camera boys......LOL, my boys are good sports.....Sometimes ♥
Diego......please stop laughing!
Why so serious Sons?
I think this photo is awesome. I never did realize that we all have the same style of glasses.......Geeky! Well except for Vincent, he does not wear glasses but did not want to feel left out so he got his "stunner" shades.
Yes! I can be funny........I try to make someone laugh at least once everyday, and my hubby is usually my victim.
And I wonder where Nick gets his humor from.................Hmmmm?

So to finish off my post, I cant wait till the day I do make a manufactures team, and I show them how much love and passion I have for the craft. Until then I will continue to blog online, and continue teach classes at my local scrapbook stores......Have a great day everyone.
