Monnie's Shoebox
I went this past weekend to Los Angeles to take care of a few things. One of my stops was taking my darling Godchild Monnie to her ballet class. I could not go in because they only allowed 1 person in, so her Mom (my neice Amanda) went with her while my twin and I walked through old town Glendora.
It was nice visiting all the cute stores the town had to offer. Of course I stopped at the local scrapbook store. When her class was over Amanda told us that the ballet teacher had requested that they decorate a shoe box. I promptly volunteered, of course I would for this is up my alley.
I mailed it off this morning via the post office so that she would have it for Saturday's class.

Teacher's Christmas Gifts
I love making gifts for the teachers. This is was no exception. So last night I put the finishing touches on these bottles. They are the Starbucks glass jars that contain my favorite mocha drink.....Yummy! I peeled off the labels and washed them to take off the adhesive and of course drank the coffee inside. After they dried I filled them with peppermint candy. Again I used the Wassill paper line from Basic Grey. I wish you could see all the details but the picture came out so so, you can't even see the glitter.
The teachers love getting homemade stuff all the time. I can not wait to see what they say. The boys were so excited to take them to school this morning. It makes me happy that they love when I make things for them to give out as gifts. Of course, they are my #1 fans. So we got 2 weeks left of the Christmas season, let's see how many other things I can make before the "big" day!
Happy Friday

Ok! So I Am A Procrastinator.....You Think?
So, we are in December already, right smack in the middle of the Holiday season. I've been very busy as of late, trying to get this no job thing figured out. As it happens, when I have alot on my mind I do 1 of 2 things..................have an affair! That's with paper of course, and the other is take a long hot bath :-) and I've gone through alot of paper and a least a couple bottles of bubble bath...........LOL
My current paper affair is with this awesome paper I found at Hearts N Craft in Covina. I picked it up the last time I visited Los Angeles. Crazy me had no idea what I needed this paper for, but all I knew was, I HAD TO HAVE IT!
It is from the Basic Grey Christmas line called Wasill. So far I have made these 3, and I have tons of images stuck in my head just waiting for my hands to create the other designs. They need to be in the mail box by weeks end, if family & friends are to get one.
I really did miss blogging. I will see you tomorrow! Yes, I did say tomorrow. I've really have been in very creative spirits. I really can not wait to show you what I have made for the teacher's gifts this year. The boys are home as of Friday for 3 full weeks on Christmas vacation........YIKES!

Wow! It's been a while since I posted. I just recently made this thank you card, and loved the three dimensional look it has, this photos does not do it justice.
The paper and flowers are from Making Memories, the pearl brads are from K & Company, the stamp set is from Close To My Heart, and the ribbon from Maya. Hope you like it?
Today I am working on thank you mini cards to attach to the corsages for the whole football team's mothers for Saturdays championship game. The team's Mom called me and asked if I would help, naturally I said yes, and then she said all 5 of them will be at my house Friday to help with me attach to the flowers.....Yikes! Hate when this happens, I did not feel like hosting this in my home. Thank goodness everything is in order.......Wish me luck......I will post a picture of the finish product soon. .....Bye for now

Just Because card kit........

I normally do not buy kits because I like to design my own. So this kit sat around for about a month. It came in a cute recipe box with all the paper precut, stamps, ink, and ribbon.
On Tuesday night I thought I would open it up and try it. The instructions were so easy and when I started I could not stop. I made a total of 8 cards. It had enough to make 16.
This is a photo is of some of the cards. Hey maybe one of my lucky readers will get one in the mail soon?

Scrap Therapy!

What a Saturday night! On a rare occasion, I get a chance to hang out with my scrap buddies. Shelly sent me an invite on Wednesday to come her house for a scrap day, and yes they did not fail to remind me that its been a full 8 months.....Yikes!
Sorry girls, been a little busy. Glad I went, I had a blast!
We started a monthy card exchange, and this is what I came up with. It took about 1 hour to make. I scored the cardstock, used sandpaper so that the white core of the paper could stand out, and then aged it with chocolate ink. Hope you like?
Until I scrap again...........Be back soon
